Pianist

South Korean pianist Saeyoon Chon won First Prize at the 2018 Dublin International Piano Competition. He is also a prizewinner of the José Iturbi (Second Prize) and Vendôme (Third Prize) competitions, as well as the Maria Canals, Young Concert Artists, Seoul, and Hilton Head competitions, and received the Tabor Foundation Award at the 2021 Verbier Festival. He has performed solo recitals at Carnegie Hall, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Seoul Arts Center, and the National Concert Hall in Dublin.
 

An active chamber musician, Chon appears regularly at the Verbier, Ravinia, Four Seasons, and Rockport festivals, collaborating with artists such as Midori and the Calidore String Quartet, and has served as Artist-in-Residence at Schloss Hafenpreppach in Bavaria since 2022. He has performed with orchestras including The Cleveland Orchestra and the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra. A graduate of The Juilliard School, he is currently a DMA candidate and faculty member in Piano Studies at NYU Steinhardt, and also teaches at the Brooklyn College Preparatory Center.
